MERAZ 3.0 CULTURE FEST — WEBSITE
I built the public website for Meraz 3.0, the annual cultural festival at IIT Bhilai — a fast, content-led experience for event discovery, teams, and festival branding. The stack was Svelte with a Vite-based workflow, focused on performance and clean UI for thousands of visitors during the fest season.

The Problem
Cultural fests need a site that feels premium, loads quickly on student networks, and stays easy to update as schedules and competitions shift. The page had to work on phones first, handle dense information (events, rules, contacts), and still feel on-brand for the college.
The Approach
Shipped a Svelte front end with componentized sections for hero, events, and key links, so content could evolve without a rewrite. Emphasized responsive layout, readable typography, and light interaction patterns that stayed fast on low-end devices. The festival still runs each year; the current edition of the public site is at meraz.iitbhilai.ac.in (the 2022 release was Meraz 3.0, built in Svelte).
How it was built
Scoped the information architecture for Meraz 3.0: landing narrative, event highlights, and clear paths to registrations and contact.
Implemented the site in Svelte with a Vite build pipeline for quick local iteration and predictable production assets.
Tuned layout and styles for small screens and spotty campus Wi‑Fi — small bundles, no unnecessary motion, readable contrast.
Coordinated with the cultural committee on copy and image swaps as the schedule finalized closer to the fest.
